Yes, but only with caution! We use gentler peels to ensure that no damage is done to the delicate skin found in these areas.

Absolutely! A series of chemical peels can very often be a permanent solution for post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation caused by acne
HOW SOON AFTER I GET A PEEL, CAN I USE LASER?
You can resume laser treatments on the affected area two to three weeks following a chemical peel.
WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS OF A CHEMICAL PEEL?
Benefits include smoother, softer skin, a healthier glow, balanced oil production, hydration, refined pores, lightened discoloration, diminished fine lines, and fewer blemishes.
WHAT PRODUCTS SHOULD I USE ON MY SKIN AFTER A CHEMICAL PEEL?
During the first 7 days after your treatment, use only a very gentle cleanser and the post care products you are given by your esthetician. No scrubs, medicated washes, or products that contain acids. You’ll may also need to refrain from exercise. Do not pull, pick, or peel the skin with your fingers. And be sure to stay out of the sun and wear your sunscreen!
WHO SHOULD NOT GET A CHEMICAL PEEL?
Refrain from chemical peels if you are pregnant, breastfeeding, or have been on Accutane within the last six months.
WHAT SHOULD I DO TO PREPARE FOR MY CHEMICAL PEEL?
Please discontinue the use of Retin-A, or other retinoids (Differin, Tazorac), and Alpha Hydroxy Acids for one week prior.

There shouldn’t be pain or discomfort immediately after treatment, although you may experience a warm sensation and tightness until you start to peel.
DMK ENZYME THERAPY

HOW LONG DOES TREATMENT TAKE?
Each session requires an hour and a half to complete.
HOW SHOULD I CARE FOR MY SKIN FOLLOWING TREATMENT?
To ensure you get the best results and that they last, we recommend that you use the DMK home care product regimen prescribed by your esthetician. HOW SHOULD I PREPARE FOR A SESSION?
Before your session, avoid facial waxing for one week and discontinue any facial products containing acids or retinoids. Wait two weeks after receiving Botox, Dysport, or fillers and 30 days after a chemical peel before scheduling a DMK Enzyme treatment.
WHAT IS DMK ENZYME THERAPY?
DMK Enzyme Therapy involves the preparation and application of an enzyme-rich mask which boosts circulation, enhances collagen production, and encourages the skin’s natural regeneration process. It gets your skin working as it should, to create a smooth, healthy complexion.

Darkening or lightening of the affected skin may occur after treatment and resolve in three to six months, but permanent color change is a rare risk. Scarring or infection are also very rare risks. Blistering, pinpoint bleeding, redness and swelling, crusting or scabbing may also occur and should resolve within ten days – also very rare.
CAN ACNE BE TREATED WITH A LASER?
Yes! We use the Smoothbeam® laser which shrinks the sebaceous glands that produce oil in your skin and destroys the bacteria that lives in the sebaceous glands causing break outs, cutting off acne at its source.
DOES IT ONLY TREAT FACE ACNE?
Laser can be used on almost every type of acne, on your face, back, chest, or any other affected area. And, it will treat not only the breakouts, but also any resulting scarring that you may have.
DOES THE TREATMENT HURT?
The laser treatment sensation feels like the snapping of a small rubber band, but we use a cooling spray to minimize this discomfort. Topical numbing creams are also advised to further reduce this sensation.
HOW LONG DOES THE TREATMENT TAKE?
For treating acne on you’re the back and/or chest, the treatment takes up to 45 minutes. For just the face, no longer than 20 minutes. These time spans may vary depending on your acne’s severity.

This depends on the severity of your acne. We recommend a minimum of six sessions to put the acne into remission, while intense cases may take additional treatments.
HOW SHOULD I PREPARE FOR A SMOOTHBEAM TREATMENT?
Discontinue use of any oral or topical antibiotic for two weeks prior to treatment, and any prescription strength Retin-A, or any retinoid product for one week prior. Drink plenty of water and refrain from alcohol and caffeine in the 24 hours before your session. Keep the treatment area out of the sun for four weeks before and after treatment. When you come in for your session, please have clean skin, free of makeup or lotions. We recommend that you apply a topical numbing cream for 60 minutes prior to your treatment to alleviate any discomfort. It’s best if you numb in our office to ensure proper application of the numbing agent.

You may see pink to slightly red spots on the treated areas, and/or swelling under the eyes which will subside within 12-24 hours. Makeup may be used 24 hours after treatment, if desired.
WILL LASER ACNE TREATMENT HARM MY SKIN?
Not at all! This is a common myth, but the reality is that laser light treats only the affected skin and will not have negative effects on your overall complexion. In fact, it stimulates the production of collagen, which is beneficial to your skin.
LASER HAIR REMOVAL
ARE THERE ANY CONTRAINDICATIONS FOR LASER HAIR TREATMENT?
We cannot treat anyone that has an active tan, either from the sun or a tanning bed, or has recently used sunless tanner. Depending on your skin type, you’ll need to be out of the sun for two to four weeks prior to treatment. Women can experience facial hair for several reasons: hormone imbalances, genetics, medication or medical disorders. But regardless of the cause, Pulse’s laser hair removal treatments can help!
WHAT ARE THE ADVANTAGES OF LASER OVER OTHER FORMS OF HAIR REMOVAL?
As opposed to many other forms of hair removal, laser is a permanent reduction of hair, doesn’t cause irritation, is quick, and relatively painless.
WHY DOES REGULAR WAXING OF THE UPPER LIP CAUSE THE SKIN TO DARKEN?
Repeat waxing damages delicate skin cells and can sometimes cause hyperpigmentation or darkening of the skin, which may be permanent in some cases.
WHY DOES ELECTROLYSIS SOMETIMES CAUSE INDENTATIONS IN THE SKIN, AND DOES LASER HAIR REMOVAL HAVE THE SAME EFFECT?
The needles used in electrolysis can sometimes change the skin texture, leaving pitted areas in your complexion. Laser hair removal does not have this side effect.
I LOVE WEARING A BIKINI, BUT HATE THE RED IRRITATION BUMPS I GET ALONG MY BIKINI LINE! WHAT CAN I DO?
While creams, waxing, and shaving can often irritate the skin, laser hair removal causes little to no irritation and is relatively painless. With laser hair removal you won’t get those red, itchy, embarrassing bumps, just a clean, smooth bikini line!
WHAT TYPES OF BIKINI SHAPES DO YOU OFFER?
We offer three types: the Basic Bikini Line, which only removes the hair that would show if you were in a bathing suit; the Extended Bikini Line, which comes in slightly further on the sides and leaves you with a small area of groomed hair; and the Brazilian Bikini, which removes all the hair from the pubic area, including the labia and thong line (you can choose to leave a small strip or triangle if preferred).

HOW MANY TREATMENTS WILL I NEED?
Most people need at least six sessions spaced four to six weeks apart. Depending on the severity of the scarring or laxity of the skin, additional sessions may be required to achieve desired results.
WHAT IS SUBLATIVE SKIN RESURACING?
